ACCE Convention 2010: See you there!

By Kathy Young, Director of Operations.

Though it seems like summer only just began, Market Street is already looking ahead to an exciting end-of-summer event, the American Association of Chamber Executives (ACCE) annual convention. This year the convention will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and already has hundreds of Chamber professionals from around the country – and world – registered for the four days of peer-to-peer meetings and engaging seminars.

As the national economic development sponsor for ACCE, Market Street will be in attendance as a participant and will lead one of the sessions, entitled “Positioning Your Region to Compete.” Our staff are also looking forward to reconnecting with clients and making new friends, whether from our exhibitor booth or during the many professional development and social networking opportunities.

The annual convention is a wonderful opportunity for Chamber members to exchange ideas about what’s working and make connections that can strengthen not just one community, but move us all toward the shared vision of having thriving economies that lead to prosperity for all residents.

The annual gathering is also a time to acknowledge the hard work that is the daily experience for Chamber professionals and their community partners. Last year, Market Street was thrilled to see many of our current and former clients receive accolades from ACCE, including the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce’s designation as Chamber of the Year. Our own Founder and CEO, J. Mac Holladay even held the spotlight when he accepted the designation of Life Member from ACCE.

We hope all of our friends in the Chamber world will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and make plans to attend this year’s convention. See you in Milwaukee!
